3 Steps to creating the perfect Entryway!
When planning any space in your home, it’s important to think about what you Want + Need out of the space. This is no exception for Entryways as they are the first impression for you and your guests. When planning your space ask yourself some of these questions….. Do you need storage for shoes or the mail? Does your family use this space to dump their keys and bags when they get home? Answering these questions will help you to design a space that is functional as well as being a beautiful!
Design Tip #1 Storage
If you use your Entryway as a place to keep your keys, use a deep decorative bowl that hides your keys but still looks pleasing to the eye. Think texture and colour when choosing your bowl.
If you need a place for shoes, choose some deep baskets that can be stored underneath your console. These will look amazing but also keep your shoes hidden.
Design Tip #2 Styling
Choose an Anchor item and recall colours from there with other design elements such as vases and pots. Remember fresh flowers + living plants will add a touch of Luxe to your space.
Add a personal photo or painting to your space to create a homely feel.
Design Tip #3 Lighting
Table lamps are perfect for mood lighting and great for styling. Mix up the lamp base to suit your space and add a pop of colour with your lamp shade.
Natural candles are also another way to add subtle lighting to your space and are a welcoming touch to your guests.
