Wallpaper has been around for sometime and even though it seems to come and go in the world of interiors it’s definitely here to stay! Choosing which wallpaper to use in your room can seem a daunting commitment so we’re sharing some Interior Design secrets to help make your decision more enjoyable…..

Design Tip #1 Room Size

• The size of your room is really important in relation to the size of any print you choose.

• For a smaller room choose a small print, if you go too big it can overpower the space.

• For a larger room go a large print otherwise the wallpaper can be too busy and become annoying!

Design Tip #2 Colour

• Sometimes in Interior Design we like to go bold, but with wallpaper you only want to do this if your room allows for it. Getting a small sample of the wallpaper and placing some of your furniture against it will help you visualise the overall look and feel of the room before you commit.

Design Tip #3 Lighting

• Lighting can play a big part in choosing the right wallpaper! Keep in mind morning and afternoon light can alter the colours in your wallpaper so remember to see it in both, and if you like it, then it’s the right one for you!
