Playroom Paradise

Majority of our projects are family homes, families with young kids who need that little bit of extra space for the kids to make a mess while still being fun, practical and easily hidden. Over the past few years we have worked hard to ensure that each playroom space is beautiful while still being functional. The use of clever storage solutions, easy to hide items and most importantly durable. We love to create playrooms that are not only easy on the eye, but also easy to clean and grow with the kids. Frequently using elements like outdoor fabrics, rugs made from recycled bottles and lots and lots of storage we think that we have got playroom design down to a fine art!

For all our playrooms we ensure that there is a bright and friendly colour pallet, if we can get away with using a happy wallpaper, rug and cushions we are already half way there. Fun art and interesting elements on the walls brings the joy upwards and makes the space even more inviting. Cost effective ways to achieve this are shopping for art from places like Adairs, Pillowtalk or even using clear acrylic bookshelves to display the books like art. Little custom elements like a removable ball pit or a concealed door way make the playroom space more conducive for the kids imaginations to run wild.

If completing a playroom while the kids are young and keeping longevity in mind, removable items are often a great way to swap out pieces and allow the space to age with the kids. Items like cushions and art are an easy and simple swap. By changing these two small items the space can transform and quickly become more mature rumpus or breakout space.
