Insight - N is for Nature!
In this weird time of Covid 19, homeschooling, social distancing and ZERO travel I am really searching for inspiration. It is coming from other designers, and much of it even over the last 12 months has just been our amazing backyard here in Australia. As many of you know we launched our fabric and wallpaper collection last year. We collaborated with the incredible Cass Deller Design on this collection. We Originally went to Cass with the idea of doing something super tropical and bright. But after a Christmas break and me painting at home (not very well) I ended up loving my own back yard. We back to bushland and I grew up on acreage so all of a sudden the whole collection became very clear and quite a huge passion for me.
Cass of course worked her magic re-imagining my interpretations of Australian Flora and Fauna into our Home Sweet Home Collection.
The collection features the most beautiful soft hues, neutrals and Cass Deller’s signature watercolour style. They pair beautifully with the rattans, timbers, rustic linens and textures we have been featuring in our interiors and we have loved creating this collection for everyone to enjoy!
So fast forward to the year 2020 and we are all stuck at home, wishing to be inspired and motivated and many of our new clients wishing their homes were that little bit more beautiful! SO whats inspiring us!?
I’d have to say a big part of our inspiration is continuing to be a connection to nature. Raw materials, layers of textures and natural palates. Don’t get me wrong, I still love a good Navy and White…anything… but soft neutrals and greens are really catching my eye!!!
Our mineral colour way in all of our fabrics and wallpaper designs are on high rotation. I think its pretty much a neutral but with a little more something, something!
